Carl Jung
Carl Jung was a psychiatrist and a visionary in his field. He believed the purpose of life was "individuation": a process of embodying your potential and becoming more of who you are. In modern society, we tend to express only 'acceptable' parts of ourselves, creating a burden of repressed emotions that lead to sadness, frustration and confusion. When you feel stuck in your life, it is because of truths you have repressed or cannot see. I'm interested in Jung's use of dreams, symbols and imagination to help you get to the root cause of sadness, frustration, depression and confusion.
Dreams & Nightmares
Dreams offer you nightly access to wise and neglected parts of yourself. By bringing them into your lived experience, you can live a fuller and more spontaneous life. I encourage my clients to bring their dreams and nightmares to our sessions. Clients who do work with their dreams generally go therapeutically deeper, and faster.
Though dream analysis, you will discover the parts of yourself trying to emerge, and which are likely already impacting your daily life. It also brings with it a recognition of your pure potential, always trying to emerge from within.
